We Are Explode The TV

An explosive indie-rock/post punk quartet with catchy hooks and searing live performances. 

Their music balances thundering bass riffs, driving rhythms and addictive melodies with sparkling dreampop-shoegaze textures.

Explode The Tv's sound has been described as reminiscent of early U2, The Police, The Cure and Echo and The Bunnymen. More recent comparisons include, Idles, Thus Love, Hi Vis, Blondshell and Fontaines DC. 

2025 has seen the band working with producer Steve ‘Smiley’ Barnard whose credits include Gene Loves Jezebel, The Alarm, Mock Turtles, The Mescaleros and The Boomtown Rats.

The new single Catching The Rain released in October 2025 has been described as prayer-disco as it combines a hard-edge disco beat and bass line, with soulful, prayer-like verses. The first single, Stratosphere released in June combines post punk guitars with soaring vocals and relentless groove. Their second release 1+1=3, is a pop infused tirade against the non sensical occurrences in our world today. Explode The Tv saddle thought provoking lyrics to their brand of infectious post punk brit pop with their current tracks/EP.

​Unbreakable album released in the Autumn 2024 is a collaborative piece of work exploring thundering catchy bass riffs and addictive melodies with sparkling dream pop guitar sounds. The album was recorded at Dental Records Studio in London from November 2022 - December 2023 with sound engineer Henry White. Their Christmas orientated track 'After The Stars' was recorded in December 2023 with Itay Kashki at Blue Room Studios in London.​​

Explode The Tv is achieving 2.1K monthly listeners on Spotify 2025 superseding their 3.74K listeners in 2024.
